Indore: Due to the expansion of the runway at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport, the airport will remain closed at night for the next four months from April. The airport management has written a letter to all the airlines in this regard asking them to reschedule their flights operating between 10 pm to 6 am for four months from April so that passengers do not suffer.

According to the airport management, for the successful landing of the Prime Minister’s new Air India One Boeing 777 aircraft at the Indore airport, the turn pad at the end of the runway has to be widened. It will take about four months for this work, so the management has issued a notice of four months. Now the airlines have been informed in this regard by writing a letter and they have been asked not to operate flights from 10 pm to 6 am.

According to the information, at present four flights are being operated from Indore airport after 10 pm. Indigo flight leaves Surat at 10 pm, Mumbai to Indore at 10.55 pm, and Kolkata to Indore at 11.25 pm. At the same time, an Indigo flight goes to Pune at 11.55 pm. At the same time, many flights before 10 o’clock in the night also get late and leave after 10 o’clock. Their number may increase in the summer schedule coming into force from March 28, but now airlines will have to reschedule them.

Significantly, during the Corona epidemic, many airlines had stopped their flights due to a lack of passengers. It has been canceled many times. But now with the reduction of the infection, the number of passengers has increased. In such a situation, airlines companies are going to restart many of their flights that were closed from Indore. Along with this, many new flights are also going to start from Indore. It may be that in such a situation, these new flights will have to wait for some more time.
