Mumbai: ED has taken a big action in the recovery case. Want to tell you that the investigating agency has arrested former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh Arrested. Deshmukh was arrested for not getting a satisfactory answer after a 12-hour long questioning. Earlier on Monday, he along with his lawyer reached the agency’s office in the Ballard Estate area of ​​south Mumbai at around 11.40 am.

The central probe agency was called to record the statement of the 71-year-old leader under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with the criminal probe being conducted in the Maharashtra Police Establishment in connection with an alleged bribery and recovery case of Rs 100 crore, officials said. But after not getting the correct answer, he was arrested. Deshmukh had to resign in April due to allegations of extortion. By the way, in the case in which Anil Deshmukh has been arrested, the agency is going to interrogate his wife and son in the same case.

It may be noted that Deshmukh had not appeared before the ED despite being issued five summons, but after the Bombay High Court refused to quash these summons last week, he appeared before the agency and was arrested. .
