Bhopal: At present, all political parties are waiting for the announcement of the by-elections in the vacant 27 seats of the assembly in Madhya Pradesh. It is possible that the Election Commission may announce this soon. Of course, this by-election is very important for the BJP and Congress and for this reason both have to give full strength. The real challenge here is to save the government or its coup. It will be a challenge to win at least nine seats in front of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan to save his throne and if the figure is low then it can be difficult. At the same time, these by-elections are going to present a big challenge for the Congress and former Chief Minister Kamalnath, because they have to win all 27 seats to oust the Shivraj government, which seems difficult.

Such is the assembly mathematics of Madhya Pradesh
The Madhya Pradesh Assembly has a total of 230 seats, of which 27 seats are vacant. At present, the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government has 107 MLAs in the 203-seat assembly, which is five more than the majority figure. While Congress has 89 MLAs. With the byelection on 27 seats, the majority figure in the assembly will be 116 MLAs. To reach this figure, the Bharatiya Janata Party will have to win at least nine seats, but after the rebellion of Jyotiraditya Scindia after 15 months, the Congress, which is out of power, will again take control of the CM chair. Seats will have to be won.

However, if the BJP wins less than nine seats in the by-election, it will have to turn to the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party or Independent candidates. At the same time, the Congress, which won the by-elections with 89 MLAs, will have to win all the seats, only then it will be able to get the CM’s chair again. At present, the BJP folds on less than nine seats and if Congress wins more than 20 seats, then in such a situation Kamal Nath can become the Chief Minister of the state again with the help of four independent MLAs besides two BSP and one SP MLA.
These elections are for the future of Madhya Pradesh: Kamal Nath

On the question asked about the upcoming by-election on 27 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, former Chief Minister of the state Kamal Nath told reporters, “These by-elections are not general elections. I do not even consider this a by-election. These elections are for the future of Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, he said that for the last four months I have worked to strengthen the party, because our fight is not with BJP’s achievements but with their organization. Also said that there is a picture of the Congress’s 15-month rule in front of the people of the state and the 15-year tenure of the BJP. We have introduced our policies and intentions. People recognize the truth and support the truth. He said, ‘I was trying to change the identity of Madhya Pradesh but the BJP was unable to accept it and hence they toppled my government.’

Let us tell you that in March this year 22 MLAs had left Congress with Jyotiraditya Scindia and they are now with BJP. For this reason, the Kamal Nath government was out of power. Not only this, three other Congress MLAs have also resigned from the membership of the assembly and joined the BJP. At the same time, two seats are vacant due to the demise of MLAs (BJP and Congress one each). For this reason, 27 seats are vacant in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly of 230 members. In this by-election, 16 seats are in Gwalior-Chambal region and the Congress is putting a lot in this area.
