Bhopal: Now the brakes have been put on the investigation of the famous Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh. In the Congress government, 16 FIRs were registered in a few months by resuming the investigation. Now his file has been closed again in the BJP government. In the investigation started during the Congress government, a total of 100 FIRs were to be registered, but as soon as the government left, the figure stopped at just 16 and now the file itself has been closed.

During the Kamal Nath government, along with the CBI investigation into the Vyapam scam, the STF had started the investigation again on the basis of pending complaints. During that time STF had registered FIR in about 16 different cases, according to the complaints which were related to Vyapam, about 100 FIRs were to be registered. Now the BJP government has put a brake on this investigation.

Vyapam scam

The investigation of the grand scam closed like this
Following the instructions of the Congress government, the STF started investigating the Vyapam scam and identified 100 out of 197 pending complaints. After three months of investigation, the STF had registered 16 FIRs on the basis of these complaints. First FIR was registered on PMT from 2008 to 2011 and on complaints of irregularities in Demat and Pre-PG. 84 more FIRs were to be registered. In the 100 FIRs to be registered, about 500 people were to be made accused. In the investigation of these marked complaints, the names of many ministers, IAS, IPS officers as well as big politicians and bureaucrats of the then BJP government of that time had come to the fore. The STF did not interfere in the CBI’s investigation. The STF team was investigating only pending complaints or new complaints coming in. The STF officials were not interfering in the CBI investigation. In 2015, the CBI took over the investigation of the Vyapam scam from the STF. As soon as the BJP government came, STF Chief Ashok Awasthi and Additional SP Rajesh Singh Bhadauria were removed. Now the investigation of the Vyapam scam has remained buried only in the files. In the BJP government, the SPs of 4 districts of STF (which include Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior) was posted on duty. Apart from this, 200 officer employees of STF posted across the state were also posted on corona duty.

This is the whole matter
The investigation into the Vyapam scam in the Shivraj government was first started by the Indore Crime Branch. In 2013, after the FIR was registered in the Vyapam scam, the government handed over the investigation to the STF. Then the then officers of the STF had issued a release on 21 November 2014 inviting names or anonymous information from the people. In this, 1357 complaints were received by the STF. Out of this, 79 FIRs were registered after investigating 307 complaints. Out of 1050 complaints, 530 were sent to the district police for investigation and 197 complaints were with the STF. The remaining 323 complaints were rejected due to anonymity. The investigation of these 197 complaints was resumed by the STF in the Congress government. The STF investigated the matter and arrested many people, but during the investigation, questions were raised on the STF. The Shivraj government handed over the investigation of the case to the CBI.

Congress will again raise the demand
Congress says that the BJP government does not want to take action against the culprits. We will not allow this investigation to stop. Will take up this matter in the next assembly. BJP said that there was a Congress government, so why not do a complete investigation. Why only a few FIRs were registered. In the name of investigation, Congress only does phantasmagoria, does politics. Now, this issue has become such that it is useless to even speak on it.
