Bhagalpur: Big news has come out from Bihar. According to information, a part of the under-construction Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge fell into the Ganga River in Bhagalpur in the state on Sunday. The local people have made a video of the bridge collapse incident. This is the second time the bridge has collapsed.

This bridge was built to connect Khagaria with Bhagalpur. Four pillars have fallen near the bridge, due to which a portion of the bridge for about 100 meters has collapsed. However, there is no news of any death or injury in this incident. Due to Sunday, the work on the bridge was closed.

DDC Bhagalpur Kumar Anurag said the incident of collapse of the under-construction bridge took place at around 6 pm. No casualty has been reported so far. The local administration on the spot, we have sought a report from the Pul Nirman Nigam.

At the same time, JDU MLA Lalit Narayan Mandal said, we were expecting that the bridge would be inaugurated by the end of this year, by November-December. But the way it went down is unfortunate. The incident should be investigated, something is wrong.

Significantly, a year ago also some parts of the bridge collapsed in a storm. SP Singla Company is making it. However, due to the collapse of the bridge for the second time, questions are being raised about massive corruption in the construction work of the bridge.

It is noteworthy that in 2014, the foundation stone of this bridge was laid by Nitish Kumar. The construction of the bridge is underway since 2015. Its cost is Rs 1710.77 crore. The length of the bridge is 3.16 km.
