Bhopal: Due to Coronavirus infection, the stagnant passenger buses will soon be seen running on the roads for the last five months. However, the number of buses on scheduled routes will be less than before. These signs have been found in the MP-Bus Honors Association meeting with Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput and Transport Commissioner Mukesh Jain recently. Association officials say that after getting the government’s approval as soon as the situation becomes clear about some demands, buses may start operating on some routes from next week.

Complicated about tax
Tax screws are implicated in the resumption of buses. State Vice President of MP-Bus Honors Association Virendra Sahu said that the talks with the Transport Minister on August 13, 2020, are expected to yield pleasant results. The government is ready to give zero tax relief for three months. The operators are demanding tax relief until December. Also, a non-use facility is also discussed. If the government takes a meaningful decision on this, the buses can start operating from next week.

Buses will run but less than before

Even if the buses start operating, 50 percent of the buses will run on the prescribed routes as before. That is, the route on which 15 to 20 buses used to run, only 10 buses will be operated on that route. Because operators also know that passengers will get less due to Corona.

Passengers will get relief
If the buses start operating then the passengers of Kundam, Mandla, Dindori route will get relief to a great extent. Apart from this, it will be convenient to travel to Katni, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Sagar, Damoh. Because trains are closed due to Corona infection.
