Sidhi: In Sidhi today, 47 passengers died due to a bus falling in the Bansagar canal (Sidhi Bus Accident). All the bodies have been recovered. 7 passengers on board the bus swam and saved their lives. These include the driver of the bus. The bus was 32 + 2 seaters, but it had 54 passengers. The bodies of 42 passengers who were killed in the accident have been recovered. President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and Leader of Opposition and PCC Chief Kamal Nath have expressed condolences on this horrific accident. Madhya Pradesh government has announced a compensation of Rs 5-5 lakh to the family of the deceased and PM Modi Rs 2-2 lakh from the National PM Relief Fund.

A horrific road accident occurred near Sidhi. The passenger bus going from Sidhi to Satna fell into the canal uncontrolled. Out of the total 54 passengers on board the bus, 47 died. On receiving the news, the top officers reached the spot and started a massive rescue operation. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan himself spoke to the direct collector and directed to speed up the rescue operation and continuously monitor the work.

After this horrific accident in the morning, there was chaos. The bus number Mp19p 1882 belonged to Jabalanath Parihar Travels. The owner of the bus is Kamleshwar Singh, who has been absconding since the accident, just coming to Satna from Sidhi. After traveling 80 km, it fell into the Bansagar canal. The fitness of the bus is from 2-5-21 and the permit of the bus was from 12-5-25. The bus passed through Churhat and Rampur Naikin town after Sidhi and then fell into the canal.

CM Shivraj Singh immediately summoned the state transport minister Govind Rajput after the accident and held a long discussion on the cause of the accident, including relief and rescue work. Bus permit canceled, order of inquiry to transport commissioner

State Transport Minister Govind Rajput said that by canceling the permit of the bus, the Transport Commissioner has been ordered to investigate. Whoever is found guilty will not be left in the investigation. The deputy transport commissioner has been sent to the spot. This bus belonged to Jabalanath Parihar Travels. The owner of the bus is Kamleshwar Singh.

Announcement of compensation of 5 lakh to the family of the deceased
The number of people who died in a direct bus accident reached 47. The bodies of five passengers are yet to be recovered. Here CM Shivraj Singh has announced compensation from the government. The family of each deceased will be given compensation of Rs 5-5 lakh from the government. Out of this, help of 10 thousand rupees is being given immediately.

In relief and rescue work, personnel of SDRF Satna 18, SDRF Sidhi 10, SDRF Rewa 13, SDRF Singrauli 8, SDRF Jabalpur 13 and SDRF NDRF 15 personnel were deployed.

Rescue operation ended
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has said that the rescue work in Sidhi has now ended. Supply of dam water in the canal was stopped and then the bus was evacuated. So far, the reason for the accident has been revealed that the bus fell uncontrolled and fell into the canal.
