20 prisoners found corona positive in Maharashtra’s Kalyan jail, shifted to hospital

Thane: Amidst the decreasing corona cases in Maharashtra, many prisoners have been found to be Covid positive in jail in Kalyan, adjacent to Mumbai. ANI quoted jail officials as saying that around 20 inmates of Aadharwadi Jail in Kalyan have been found to be Corona positive. All these prisoners have been shifted to Thane Civil Hospital for treatment.

By the way, the situation is getting better in Maharashtra, which was one of the most affected parts of the country during the Corona period. Corona cases are continuously decreasing in the state. In such a situation, Corona restrictions have been relaxed in Maharashtra including Mumbai. Meanwhile, today Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has called an important meeting of the Covid Task Force. After this news, speculations are being made that the state government can give more concessions to the people in the corona restrictions.

According to a report, earlier on Sunday, State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that after Diwali, the corona restrictions in the state can be relaxed some more. Tope said that a decision on this would be taken by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after discussions with the Health Department and the task force on the number of fresh corona cases. It is reported that CM Thackeray will hold a meeting with the Covid Task Force on Monday around 3 pm.

An official gave this information on Monday. After the death of one more person due to infection, the death toll in the district has increased to 11,459. The death rate from Covid-19 in the district is 2.03 percent. Meanwhile, another official said that the cases of Covid-19 in neighboring Palghar district rose to 1,37,459 and the death toll stood at 3,279.
