New Delhi: Fugitive diamond merchant Mehul Choksi alleged that he was kidnapped in Antigua by two RAW agents. According to Choksi, he was at the house of his girlfriend Barbara Jarbika. Choksi also said that he was also assaulted before being kidnapped. Let us inform you that Choksi has been living in Antigua and Barbuda since 2018 after absconding from India. He went missing from there in the month of May. Later on May 23, he was arrested in the neighboring country of Dominica. At present, in the name of treatment, the court of Dominica has granted bail to Choksi.
Talking to the English website India Today TV, Mehul Choksi said, ‘I believed that they (Gurmeet Singh and Gurjit Bhandal) were RAW agents. Even when I arrived in Dominica, I heard stories about RAW agents being around islands and locations around the world. Both of them said that they were RAW agents and were taking me for questioning. They were very strict with me, they even hit me.

Mehul Choksi told that on 23 May he had gone to Barbara Jarabika’s house to pick her up. Choksi said, ‘I took my car to pick him up. I went to his house and he invited me inside. I didn’t feel anything wrong. I parked my car in front of his house and went inside. She was drinking wine. He made me sit on the sofa. After 3-4 minutes, some people from both sides entered the house. He said that we know who you are and we are taking you for questioning. Two of them held my hand. Two grabbed my feet.’
Rumor about kidnapping
Mehul Choksi also claimed that he was hearing rumors about his kidnapping since the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He said, ‘I was told that a plane is coming and many people said that they are watching you and will take you out and kill you.’
