New Delhi: Alto K10 has once again made a comeback in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki launched the new Alto K10 on Thursday. Its starting price has been kept at 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be sold alongside the existing Alto 800. The price of the top model of the hatchback goes up to Rs. 5.83 Lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Alto K10 looks completely different from the previous generation model. However, some design cues have been made in the new model. The small hatchback will compete with cars like the Hyundai Santro and Renault Kwid.
Completely new car design
Based on Maruti Suzuki’s fifth generation Heartect platform, the new Alto K10 has been given a completely new grille. The headlamps, front bumper, and bonnet also look quite different from the old model. A new design has also been given in the side profile and rear. It looks like Maruti Suzuki Celerio. Customers can avail of two customization packages for the new Alto K10, Impacto and Glinto. 13-inch tires have been given in the hatchback. This car has been launched in 6 different color options.
The car is equipped with many advanced features
Many important changes have also been made in the cabin of the new Alto K10. The biggest among them is the SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, which gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other changes include advanced features like remote key access, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and steering-mounted controls.
The car has been given a brand new engine
The Alto K10 comes with a new generation 1.0-litre K-Series dual-jet, dual VVT engine. It is mated to an Auto Gear Shift (AGS) transmission. The engine gives a mileage of 24.90 kmpl. It gets safety features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, speed sensing door lock, etc.
