LPG Cylinder Price Reduced by Rs 200 from Today, 75 Lakh New Ujjwala Connections to be Given

New Delhi: The Central Government has announced a big relief for the country’s people on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The price of domestic LPG cylinders has been slashed by Rs 200 from today, August 30, 2023. The new prices are effective from today itself. Now, the cylinder will cost Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 908 in Bhopal, and Rs 906 in Jaipur. The government will also distribute 75 lakh new Ujjwala connections to the poor households. The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will get LPG cylinders for Rs 703.

This decision comes after the price of domestic LPG cylinders was hiked by Rs 50 twice this year, in March and July. The price in Delhi had reached Rs 1103. No subsidy was given to the consumers since June 2020, except for the Ujjwala beneficiaries who got a Rs 200 subsidy. Now, they will get an additional concession of Rs 200.
