Lucknow: Now the shopping malls of Uttar Pradesh will also be able to get wine. The government has issued an order for this by the Excise Department. The process of selling liquor licenses in shopping malls will start from Monday i.e. July 27. At the same time, after August 25, there is a possibility of selling liquor of imported brands in shopping malls. According to the order, the price of alcohol found in malls will have to be paid more. These shops will be allowed to sell foreign liquor, Scotch, Gin, and all brands of wine made in India, vodka priced from Rs 700 to more than Rs, cans of 160 or more beers.

Additional Chief Secretary (Excise) Sanjay Bhusreddy said that in the last few years, the trend of shopping in shopping goods has increased rapidly, in view of which permission has been given to sell expensive foreign liquor. Customers can buy foreign brands imported from these shops, all brands of scotch, brandy, gin and wine made in India. He said that the license process will start from Monday 27 July. According to Bhusreddy, the UP government cabinet had a month ago approved the decision to sell liquor in shopping malls.

According to Bhusreddy, there will be premium and imported brands above Rs 700 in shopping malls. With this, you will also be allowed to sell cans of premium and imported brand beer above Rs 160. He said that the annual license fee of AC shops has been fixed at Rs 12 lakh, which can be obtained by any person, company, firm or society. These shops will have the facility to enter the customers and choose the brand on their own.

Explain that the Excise Department, important in terms of revenue in the Corona period, also ordered the opening of liquor and beer shops from May 4. During this time it was made mandatory to follow social distancing rules. The Yogi government allowed liquor-producing companies from April 20 to produce wine and beer. Earlier, liquor sales were closed in UP due to lockdown.
