Dubai: Dubai’s royal family on Sunday announced the abolition of both the 30 percent tax on alcohol sales and the fee for obtaining a liquor license in a bid to promote tourism. This announcement has been made in the new year by two government liquor companies (liquor companies) of Dubai and it happened on the orders of the ruling Al Maktoum family.
According to the report of the news agency AP, government officials did not immediately confirm this announcement nor answered the questions related to it. Significantly, Dubai has recently started selling liquor during the day in the month of Ramadan and home-delivery of liquor during the Kovid lockdown. Till now, Dubai used to get a major share of the revenue from the sale of liquor, which will stop getting this new decision.
Please tell us that the minimum age for drinking alcohol in Dubai is 21 years and a plastic card has to be kept with you to drink alcohol. This plastic card allows you to buy and drink beer, and wine. If someone violates it, he may have to pay a fine or he may also be arrested.
