New Delhi: A lawsuit is to be filed against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra for contempt of the Supreme Court. So their difficulties have increased. Attorney General K. K. Venugopal (Attorney General K.K. Venugopal) has ordered to file a case against Kamra. After Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami was granted bail, Kunal Kamra tweeted that he was angry with Justice Chandrachud and the Supreme Court. He also made some controversial tweets in that regard. After which some lawyers from Pune lodged a complaint with the Attorney General. Now Attorney General K. K. Venugopal has ordered to register a case against Kunal Kamra.
What’s the matter
While granting interim bail to Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, the Supreme Court had expressed displeasure to the High Court for not granting bail to Goswami. Meanwhile, stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra had made some controversial tweets on it. In the same case, two lawyers from Pune have lodged a complaint with the Attorney General of India and sought action against Kunal for contempt of court.
What did Kunal Kamra say?
Kunal Kamra had compared Justice Chandrachud to the flight attendant. Kunal wrote in a tweet that, “Justice Chandrachud is like an employee in a plane, serving champagne to first class passengers. However, it is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
In another tweet, Kunal wrote that the lawyers stopped calling the Supreme Court and judges respectable, because the ‘respect’ has long since left that building. Apart from this, Kunal also did other tweets in which the Supreme Court and the BJP were criticized.

Just hours after the contemptuous tweet of the Supreme Court, Twitter has also blocked Kunal Kamra’s Twitter account.
