Dubai: Shah Salman of Saudi Arabia was admitted to a hospital in the capital Riyadh for medical examination after a gallbladder inflammation. The royal court of Saudi Arabia gave this information in a statement, which was released by the official Saudi press agency. The statement said that 84-year-old Shah is undergoing medical examination at the Shah Faisal Specialist Hospital. He did not provide any additional information on this.
Saudi Shah has not been publicly visible for the past few months due to the coronavirus. Shah Salman has been ruling Saudi Arabia since 2015 and has declared his son and Shahzada Mohammed bin Salman (34) as his successor.
