Bangalore: 9,579 new cases of Covid-19 and 52 deaths occurred in Karnataka. With these new cases, the total infection cases in the state increased to 10.74 lakh and the number of dead increased to 12,941. The Health Department gave this information on Monday. Of the new cases reported in the state, 6,387 have come from Bengaluru city alone.
In the state, 2,767 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering in a day. The Health Department said in a bulletin that so far a total of 10,74,869 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the state, out of which 12,941 patients have died and 9,85,924 have been cured.
The state is now undergoing treatment for 75,985 patients, out of which 75,515 patients are in stable condition and are in separate wards of Covid hospitals, while 470 are in intensive care units. A total of 2,28,06,423 samples have been tested so far in Karnataka. On Monday, 1,16,165 investigations were conducted.
