Kabul: Afghan government mediators have proposed a power-sharing proposal with the Taliban during peace talks in Doha. According to the news published on the news agency AFP, to stop the violence in the country, the government has proposed to Qatar, which is playing the role of mediator. According to which the Taliban have been offered to share power in return for restoring peace in the country. There has been no response from the Taliban, which has captured large parts of the country in the past few days.
In the past week, the Taliban have captured the capital of 10 provinces of the country. The most recent was the capture of Ghazni, which is just 130 kilometers southwest of Kabul. Due to the capture of Ghazni, the Afghan capital has lost contact with an important highway. It connects the southern province of the Afghan capital. Although there is no direct threat to Kabul so far, with the capture of Ghazni, the Taliban have captured two-thirds of the country. And thousands of people are running away leaving their homes.
Taliban to isolate Kabul in 30 days
According to the report of the US intelligence agency, the Taliban can isolate Kabul in the next 30 days and will capture the entire country within 90 days. After the catastrophic collapse of Afghan forces, the question is being raised as to where the $ 830 billion spent by the US Department of Security on war, army training, and reconstruction has gone.
Importantly, Taliban fighters are riding American Humvees and pickup trucks and carrying M-16 legs on their shoulders. Government special operations teams had to be brought back from several battlefronts, while regular soldiers often fled the battlefield. And the result was that thousands of citizens kept looking for security in the capital. US envoy to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad will form a joint with diplomats from China, Pakistan, and Russia to ensure that the Taliban will be rejected internationally if they continue their militant stance.
They are also planning to meet with Khalilzad’s Afghan government and Taliban officials as the fighting goes on endlessly. India has also asked Indian citizens living in Afghanistan to leave the country before commercial flights stop operating.
