WHO warns: Corona deadly wave in West Asia, sanctions need to be tightened

Dubai: The Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) has said that with the onset of winter, cases of Corona Virus infection are increasing rapidly in the whole of West Asia and Countries need to tighten sanctions and take precautionary measures to prevent large numbers of deaths from infection.

Ahmed Al Mandhari, WHO’s director of the Eastern Mediterranean region, told reporters in Cairo that countries in the region had imposed strict lockdowns earlier this year but we’re now slowing down.
