Washington: The Biden Administration on Thursday announced the expulsion of 10 Russian diplomats and Sanctions against nearly three dozen people and companies in Russia. The United States has taken action to hold Russia accountable for interfering in the presidential elections held last year and for breaching federal agencies. Such action was foreseen by the administration for several weeks.

For the first time, restrictive action has been taken against Russia, by the US intervening in elections and retaliating against hacking. Russian burglars are believed to have breached widely used software to hack networks of at least nine agencies, and US officials believe they tried to gather secret information from the US government.

US officials alleged last month that Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a campaign to help former US President Donald Trump so that Trump could become president again, but there is no evidence that Russia or anyone Others manipulated votes or results. Sanctions include restrictions on six Russian companies that help in the country’s cyber activities. In addition to this, 32 people and bodies were banned on charges of trying to interfere in last year’s presidential election and to propagate.

The White House said the 10 diplomats fired include representatives of the Russian intelligence services. He also said that Biden is using diplomatic, military and intelligence channels to react to news that Russia had instigated the Taliban to attack US and allied troops in Afghanistan.
