Dubai: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) said on Friday that it will allow the return of people from 15 countries, including India, who have received the World Health Organization (WHO) approved Covid-19 vaccines and are valid visa holders from September 12. Earlier these countries were kept on the suspended list.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) issued an official statement in a tweet saying that those who could return include those who have been abroad for more than six months.
“The UAE allows return from 12 September 2021 to holders of a fully vaccinated (WHO approved vaccine) valid stay visa, including those who have been abroad for more than six months,” the statement said.
This decision has been taken for passengers coming from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Namibia, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, South Africa, Nigeria, and Afghanistan.
