Kuwait: In a devastating turn of events, a massive fire engulfed a workers’ residence in Mangaf City, southern Kuwait, leading to the tragic loss of 41 lives, with four of the deceased being Indian nationals. The fire, which occurred on Wednesday morning, has left the building in ruins and resulted in 15 injuries.

The Kuwaiti authorities have pinpointed the real estate owner as responsible for the disaster, citing negligence and greed. The Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, who oversees the Home Department and Defense Ministry, condemned the incident during his visit to the site.

The state-run television reported that the building was primarily occupied by a large number of workers. Despite successful evacuation efforts, many succumbed to suffocation and burns, overwhelmed by the dense smoke and flames. The local officials have confirmed that the fire is now under control and a thorough investigation is underway to determine the cause and prevent such tragedies in the future.
