New York: The coming Independence Day for Indians (Indian Independence Day 2020) is bringing another glorious moment. A prominent group of America has announced the unfurling of the Indian tricolor at the Times Square in New York on the occasion of the coming Independence Day. This will be the first time that the tricolor will be hoisted at this special place in New York City. The Federation of Indian Associations-FIA of three states New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut said in a statement that history will be created on August 15, 2020, by hoisting the tricolor for the first time on Times Square.

According to the organization, India’s Consul General in New York Randhir Jaiswal will be present as a special guest during the flag hoisting ceremony. According to the Federation of Indian Associations, this is the first time that the tricolor will be hoisted on Times Square. Independence Day celebrations will be organized at Times Square, in addition to flag hoisting, tableaux related to Indian culture will also be included. Apart from this, the merits of India will be told through a projector at the Empire State Building. The building will be decorated with tricolor lights in honor of Indian Independence Day.

Empire State Building will be painted from August 14

The organization said that on August 15, the whole world will see a glimpse of the strengthening relationship between India and America.
