Moscow: On Sunday, 890 people died of Covid-19 in Russia. These are the highest number of deaths in a day. Earlier on Friday, 887 cases of death due to infection were reported. The National Task Force constituted against Coronavirus said that 25,769 new cases of infection were reported. So far 14.6 crore cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the country and about 2,10,000 people have died due to the infection.
At the same time, with the increasing number of cases and deaths due to Covid-19 in the country, Russian officials say that there are no plans to impose a lockdown yet. Anti-Covid-19 vaccine ‘Sputnik V’ is being administered in the country, only 32.5 percent of the people in the country have been given the first dose and 28 percent of the people have been given both doses.
