Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Vice President and self-proclaimed caretaker President Amrullah Saleh, who is stationed in Panjshir, is giving a tough challenge to the Taliban, Ahmed Masood, son of the late War Lord Ahmed Shah Masood. Saleh has made it clear that he will not leave the country and run away. He refused to bow down to the Taliban, saying, ‘One day only Allah will take my soul out of here, but still my remains will be found in this soil.’

Amrullah Saleh, the Vice President of Afghanistan and the self-proclaimed caretaker President, said, ‘No matter what happens, I will not bow my head before the Taliban. Will take a bullet in the chest, but will not bow his head.

In such a situation, the question is in everyone’s mind that at a time when President Ashraf Ghani, many warlords, Afghan fighters, politicians left everything and fled, then who is giving so much courage to Amrulla Saleh? Which force is standing behind Vice President Saleh, which is not allowing his steps to falter?

The answer to this question is Panjshir. This is a place where the people of the Taliban do not approve. Because, this is the Panjshir province of Ahmed Shah Masood, the most powerful guerrilla fighter in Afghan history. That Ahmed Shah Masood, who turned the artillery of the Soviet Union on the strength of his passion. Ahmed Shah Masood had bent the Taliban in Kabul with his guerrilla technique. After his murder, now his son Ahmed Masood is giving training to the people.

Panjshir The Taliban could never conquer Panjshir, 150 km from Kabul. The Taliban could not capture Panjshir even in 1998. In 1995, the Taliban was defeated in Kabul under the leadership of Ahmed Shah Masood. The Taliban considered Ahmed Shah Masood as their biggest enemy. Ahmed Shah Masood was assassinated in a fidayeen attack just two days before 9/11.

“I will never betray the spirit and legacy of our hero Ahmed Shah Masood, commander, legend, and guide,” says Saleh. I will not disappoint the millions of people who listened to me. I will never live under one roof with the Taliban. Never.’

The fight continues in Panjshir
The Taliban’s fight to capture Panjshir continues. The Taliban have also claimed possession of three districts of Panjshir. But Gilles Doronsoro, an Afghan expert at the Sorbonne University in Paris, told the AFP news agency: “At the moment the resistance in Panjshir is only verbal, as the Taliban have not yet tried to enter Panjshir.”

However, both Vice Presidents Amrullah Saleh and Ahmed Masood, along with armed fighters, are busy preparing Panjshir in the fight against the Taliban. They are trying to kill their fighters, there are constant meetings going on to defeat the Taliban.
