Jerusalem: Israeli and Egyptian officials say a helicopter belonging to the International Peacekeepers crashed in Egypt’s the Sinai Peninsula. Seven peace envoys have died in the accident.
The Israeli official said that five Americans were among the peace envoys killed in the accident in Sinai on Thursday. Egyptian officials said the crash appeared to be due to technical reasons.
The helicopter belonged to the multinational force MFO, which oversees the Israeli-Egyptian peace agreement. Officials from both countries provided information on the condition of anonymity. Both have no right to speak to the media in this matter
