Washington: After the military conflict between India and China, America has reduced the number of its troops from Europe. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that in view of China’s threat to India and South Asia, the US has decided to withdraw its troops from Europe and deploy to Asia. Pompeo said the decision to reduce US troops in Germany was part of a very deliberate strategy as they were to be deployed in Asia.
US President Donald Trump recently announced that Germany would reduce its troops from the US. This decision was also agreed by the members of the European Union. Pompeo said that given the actions of the Communist Party of China, which is a threat to India and other countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and the South China Sea.
He said that we are going to ensure that our actions are going to counter the PLA. The External Affairs Minister said that this is the challenge of our time and we are going to ensure that the right resources are available at the right time. In addition to the Indian Ocean in Asia, the United States has military bases in Japan, South Korea and the Philippines.
Virtually attending the Brussels Forum 2020, Pompeo said – the PLA has increased the border dispute with India, which is the world’s largest democracy. He is militarizing the South China Sea, illegally seizing territory there and threatening vital sea lanes.
