The report states that along with Sri Lanka, about one thousand Islamic schools will also be closed. Decision taken under national security
The report said that Sri Lankan Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekera had on Friday signed a paper that approved the banning of Muslim women burqas and took the government’s decision under national security has gone. Recently, in Switzerland, there was a referendum about the ban on the wearing of the burqa. Before this, France has also banned the burqa.

Ban will be imposed after the approval of Sri Lanka cabinet
According to the report, Verasekera has stated that, the bill has been signed for cabinet approval. Now on getting the approval of the cabinet, the Sri Lankan government can also make a law on it. He told that, “In our early days Muslim women and Muslim girls did not wear burqas. It is a symbol of religious extremism. He said, “It has come up recently and we will definitely close it.”

Islamic schools will be closed
According to the report, Virasekera said that along with this, the government is simultaneously planning to ban more than one thousand Islamic schools and madrasas in Sri Lanka which will be closed. He said, “One cannot open a school and teach nothing.”
