New Delhi: The countdown to the end of the year 2020 has started. Most countries of the world are simply welcoming the New Year this year. But due to different time zones, in some countries, New Year knocks first.
The New Year first knocks on the Pacific Island of Tonga, which is December 31 at 10 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). So Baker Island and Howland Island in America will knock the new year on January 1 at 12 noon (GMT) and here the new year knocks at the last.
