Yangon: Myanmar news security forces on Thursday shot and killed at least 10 people who opposed the military coup. Along with this, the army also made a new charge against the deposed government leader Aung San Suu Kyi. It says that in the year 2017-18, he illegally took $ 600,000 i.e. Rs 4.35 crore. He is also accused of illegally accepting gold bars from a political colleague.

Suu Kyi and President Vin Myint were detained on less serious charges. It is believed that the purpose of the new charge is to clearly defame Suu Kyi and perhaps accuse him of a serious crime.

Movements like protests, strikes and civil disobedience have continued in Myanmar since the Suu Kyi government’s coupon 1 February.
Local press reports and posts on social media said that there were six deaths in Myang, one city in the central Magway region and one each in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago and Taung. Security forces also attacked live ammunition during previous protests, killing at least 60 people. They also used tear gas, rubber bullets, water cannons, and stun grenades against the protesting people. Many protesters have been brutally beaten.
