New Delhi: Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad recruited top Iranian scientists in April this year and tricked them into believing they were working for international dissident groups to run a covert operation. including blowing up their own nuclear plant.

A report in the Jewish Chronicle reveals that ten scientists were hired to destroy the Natanz Nuclear Facility. The mystery has come to the fore after one of three sabotage incidents allegedly linked to the Mossad, in which the Natanz nuclear station was bombed with explosives for the first time.

Explosives were brought to the nuclear complex by drone
About 90 percent of the centrifuges in the nuclear plant were destroyed by this operation. Along with this, the use of the main complex of the nuclear plant was closed for nine months after this action. The blast was carried out by smuggling explosives into the premises using a drone. These drones were then assembled by scientists.

Not only this but many explosives were also smuggled into the high-security facility through food boxes and lorries. Several other revelations reported by the Jewish Chronicle also mention Mossad hiding explosives in building materials that were used to make the Natanz centrifuge in 2019. The report also mentions agents seeking armed quadcopters.

Mossad took 18 months to plan all three operations
The third operation was reportedly also done in June. During this, Mossad bombed Iran Centrifuge Technology Company with a quadcopter drone. The Jewish Chronicle claims that it took Mossad more than 18 months to plan these three operations. This involved a team of 1,000 technicians, spies, and several agents on the ground.
