New Delhi: There have been shocking revelations in the report of India Future Foundation, an organization that monitors cyber attacks on India. It has been said in the report that whenever there is a major incident in India, then there is a large increase in cyber attacks on the country after that. It has been said in the report that after the Galvan clash, Indian cyberspace was attacked 40,300 times by China. There was a 200% increase in cyber attacks from China within just 1 month of the Galwan violence and the purpose of these cyber attacks was to steal sensitive information. At the same time, after demonetization, 80,000 cyber-attacks were reported.

The power grid is an important part of the infrastructure of any developing country and plays a vital role in keeping other essential infrastructure running. In such a situation, the power grid is targeted in cyber attacks. The report said that there was a recent cyberattack attempt on an important Indian power grid in Ladakh, which was claimed by Chinese hacktivists. Prior to these attacks, such attacks were carried out at two ports – Mumbai Port and Tuticorin Port – and regional load dispatch centers in Delhi, Karnataka, and Telangana.

Mumbai had to face the worst power outage ever. The blackout in Mumbai was also seen to be linked to the tension on the India-China border. It has been said in the report that under research, Mumbai power cut and Galwan violence are being linked.
