Islamabad: There is a ruckus in the politics of Pakistan these days. Recently, a former member of Imran Khan’s party PTI and retired judge Wajihudin Ahmed alleged that the Prime Minister of the country does not have money to run the house. He had said that Imran Khan takes lakhs of rupees every month from his associates to run his house. On this statement of his, a fierce debate started in the media of Pakistan. But now Imran Khan’s minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhary has threatened action against the channels running such news.

Wajiuddin Ahmed had resigned from Imran Khan’s party in the year 2016. Ahmed said, ‘People should forget that Imran Khan is honest. He did not run his own house for years. Leaders like Jehangir Tareen in the party used to give him 30 lakh rupees every month to run the house. Later it was increased to 50 lakh rupees. A PTI leader had said that even Imran Khan’s shoelaces are not his own.

Evidence not given
Wajihudin Ahmed has not given any evidence regarding his allegations. However, the Jehangir Tareen he mentioned, on his Twitter handle, dismissed all the allegations. Tareen threatened to sue for defamation. However, Wajihudin later said that if someone wants to sue for defamation, they must do so because the doors of the court are open.
