Kiev: A military aircraft crashed in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine on Saturday. 25 people died in this accident. According to reports, the dead include military cadets. The AN-26 aircraft had 28 people, including 21 military cadets. The President of Ukraine wrote on Facebook that, “immediately set up a commission to investigate.”

According to reports, the Antonov-26 transport aircraft crashed at 8:50 pm (17:50 GMT) in Ukraine, two kilometers from the Chuhiv Airforce Y base. The plane caught fire after the accident.

Death of military cadets
Speaking to a news agency, Deputy Home Minister Anton Gerashokenko called the incident tragic and said that it is difficult to ascertain the cause of the incident right now. The investigation of the case has been started after the accident. Governor Oleksi Kucher said, “Initial investigations have revealed that a pilot reported an engine malfunction prior to the accident.” 25 people died in this accident. According to reports, the deceased were military cadets.

Fire on the plane after hitting the ground
According to reports, the plane caught fire as the Air Force’s Anto-26 aircraft crashed into the ground. Officers who arrived at the scene after the accident extinguished the fire. So far 25 people have been confirmed dead in the plane accident, two people are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
