Iran begins construction of underground nuclear center amid tension from US

Dubai: Iran has started construction of an underground nuclear center in Fordo amidst ongoing tension with the US over its nuclear program. ‘AP’ has indicated this in satellite images found on Friday. Iran has not publicly accepted any new construction in Fordo (a village in Iran).

Although the motive for construction in Fordo is not known, it is expected to increase the tension between Iran and America. In satellite images received by ‘AP’ from Maxar Technologies, a space technology company, about 90 kilometers (55 mi) southwest of Tehran, near the sacred Shia city of Kom, north- Construction is being seen in the West.

This construction started in September. The satellite photo of 11 December shows a foundation carved for a building with dozens of pillars. Iran however did not comment on this news.
