Berlin: Germany released the logo of the 2024 European Football Championship (Euro) during an event here on Tuesday night. Only a few guests and media persons were invited to this event held at the Olympia Stadium in Berlin. Spectators were not allowed to attend the ceremony.

The insignia is an outline of the Henri Delaunay Cup, outside which the roof of the Olympia Stadium is depicted in an oval shape. In this, the colors of the flag of 55 member countries of the European Football Association (UEFA) are shown. There are 24 panels around the trophy, which represent the 24 teams that will take part in the tournament in Germany.

The logos of all the 10 host cities of the tournament, Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, and Stuttgart were also released on the occasion.

Let us tell you that the Euro Cup started in 1960. It completed 60 years in 2020, but due to Corona, the tournament had to be postponed till 2021. In such a situation, to celebrate the completion of 60 years and to honor the tradition associated with it, UEFA also named the championship to be held in 2021 as Euro 2020.
