The NCA said it is working closely with the government and law enforcement to appeal to people to be vigilant and follow basic advice related to the NHS (National Health Service) Covid vaccination program. It said that the NHS would be vaccinated free of cost under the Vaccination Program and that the NHS would not ask for any payment for vaccines nor ask for information on bank accounts.

“The cases of fraud are still low, but the number is increasing,” said Graeme Bigar, director-general of the National Economic Crime Center at the NCA.

James Brokenshire, Minister of State for Security at the UK Home Ministry, said, “It is a sad reality that fraudsters and scammers are using this global epidemic to cheat people.” If someone sends you an email or message or phone call claiming to belong to the NHS and asks you to pay for the vaccine, it is a scam. ”

‘Action Fraud’, national fraud and cybercrime reporting center in the UK, has warned that around 57 cases of Covid-19 vaccination have been reported.
