It is being told that Pakistan failed to meet 3 out of all the 27 parameters of the FATF’s action plan. At the FATF meeting on Thursday, it was decided that Pakistan should be kept in the gray list for the present. It should be known that Pakistan itself has been trying for a long time to get out of the gray list of the FATF but Koso is far from successful. It has been reported that Pakistan has failed to meet the 3 important points out of the prescribed 27 parameters.

What the FATF says:
On this important issue, FATF chief Marcus Pleier said that, Pakistan will remain under our direct supervision. There are still many and serious flaws in this country regarding Terror Financing. By the way, Pakistan itself has taken many necessary steps to get out of it. But out of 27 important points, 3 important points are still remaining.

Pakistan did not meet 6 criteria last time:
It is worth mentioning that in the meeting of FATF in October 2020 last year, Pakistan was summoned in the gray list. At that time, Turkey also proposed in the FATF plenary that instead of waiting for it to meet the remaining 6 criteria out of the 27 necessary criteria, members should also think once for the good work of Pakistan. Turkey also stated that a FATF on-site team must undertake an important tour of Pakistan to materialize its required assessment. But even this idea of Turkey could not save Pakistan from being polluted and this time it could not meet 3 criteria.

But by that time the deadline for implementing the action plan had also expired. However, the FATF has asked Pakistan to meet all the necessary criteria once again before the upcoming Age of 2021.
