Mumbai: Naomi Judd passes away, along with her daughter Winona founded the dynamic duo The Judds, one of country music’s most popular artists. She passed away at the age of 76. Winona released a post and informed it on Saturday. She wrote- “We are broken. We are deeply saddened and know that we loved him, she was loved by his public. We are in unknown territory.

According to Page Six, in the 1980s and 1990s, Judds had a string of successful singles. In 1994, she produced a compilation album of 12 songs that topped the country charts, including the Grammy-winning hit Why Not Me, Mama’s Crazy. She was 17 years old when she gave birth to her first daughter, Christina Siminella, who took her father’s surname Michael. After Naomi and her husband separated in 1972, their daughter changed her name to Winona Judd. Naomi gained custody of Winona, now 57, and the two taught each other how to perform music while trying to meet her own needs.

They also won five Grammy Awards for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group from 1985 to 1985.
