Kabul: The Indian trapped in Afghanistan is now being evacuated rapidly. On Sunday morning, Air Force aircraft C-17 Globemaster aircraft carrying a total of 168 passengers including 107 Indians from Kabul reached the Hindon airbase near the capital Delhi. Earlier on Sunday morning, two planes carrying 87 Indians reached Delhi. One of these aircraft reached Doha in Qatar, while the other arrived here from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Indians returning home from Afghanistan shouted Bharat Mata ki jay in the plane itself.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has given this information through a tweet on Sunday. Along with this, he also told that two citizens of Nepal are also present on the plane. The ministry said that the process of evacuating other Indians is also going on. By tonight, 300 other Indians will also be safely returned to their homeland.

The presence of the Indian community in Afghanistan is very high. In such a situation, the Government of India has also expedited the process of evacuation of citizens.

Indians return from afganistan

The Indian Air Force has already evacuated 180 civilians including its ambassador. At present, a total of 25 flights are being operated. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security and directed all concerned officials to ensure the process of safe evacuation of Indians coming from Afghanistan. It is reported that 500 Indians are returning to their country from different places and flights from Afghanistan on Sunday morning.
