Kabul: Eight people were killed and at least 30 injured in a suicide bomb attack late Thursday in Logar province, east of Afghanistan. Officials gave this information. A police security checkpoint was attacked in Pul-e-Alam, the capital of the province.

Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said that most of the people killed in the attack were civilians. The provincial police spokesperson said the car riders who lost their lives were stopped at the checkpoint at the security checkpoint. At the same time, eye witnesses present in the hospital where the injured were taken said that many children were also among the injured in the bomb attack.

The Taliban immediately refused to take responsibility for the attack. The attack was carried out on the eve of the festival of Bakrid. At present, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
