Bollywood filmmaker Aditya Chopra is going to make his Broadway debut as a director with his record-breaking worldwide blockbuster ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. After 26 years, a new look of DDLJ is about to appear. After 1995, the love story of ‘Raaz’ and ‘Simran’ is set to be chronicled as a Broadway musical. Aditya Chopra has given this new surprise to the fans by announcing it on Saturday. Aditya Chopra has been working on this project for the last 3 years.
The love story of ‘Raj’ and ‘Simran’ of ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ will be presented on the stage as a musical play i.e. Broadway. ‘Come Fall In Love: The DDLJ Musical’ will premiere at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, USA.

Team is ready
Vishal-Shekhar has joined as a composer for this Broadway. Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani will work as composers. Aditya has selected a team of internationally renowned veteran technicians for his first theatrical performance. At the same time, Tony and Emmy winner Rob Ashford (Frozen, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Boys from Syracuse) will choreograph the production along with associate choreographer Shruti Merchant.
World premiere to be held in September 2022
Come Fall in Love: The DDLJ Musical will be presented on stage in the 2022–2023 Broadway season, with its world premiere at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego during September 2022.

Very few people know that Aditya first wanted to make the film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ as an English film and then he wanted to cast Tom Cruise as the hero of this film.
Aditya Chopra has memories related to Broadway
Recalling his memories of Broadway, Aditya Chopra said, ‘It was the summer of 1985 and I was 14 years old. Then I was spending my holidays in London. My parents took my brother and me to get the first feel of musical theatre. The lights dimmed, the curtains lifted and I was amazed at what unfolded during the next three hours! Till then I used to be a kid who used to watch movies with great passion and eagerness and at that time I loved Indian blockbusters the most on the big screen. But what I saw on stage that day blew my senses. I could not believe that such a spectacle could be composed live on stage. But the most important aspect of this experience that struck me was how similar musical theater is to our Indian films.
