London: Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson has told the people that he cannot yet guarantee the removal of the lockdown because in April 2020 Covid-19 There are still far more infected patients admitted to hospitals than at the peak of the epidemic. Johnson lauded everyone involved in the vaccination work after the government completed its goal of delivering the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to 15 million people in the most at-risk population. He praised the unprecedented national achievement but said that the time had not yet come to sit comfortably.

Johnson said, “Next week we will present a roadmap to get out of the lockdown, although some things are very uncertain.” He said this while referring to the date of 22 February pre-determined for the unlock scheme. He said, “Since we want this lockdown to be final and we proceed with caution. Therefore, please stay indoors and protect life. Prime Minister Johnson said he was optimistic about the loosening of restrictions but could not guarantee that the current lockdown would not proceed.

The government is hoping to start reopening schools from March 8 as the first step to lift the lockdown restrictions. On Monday, 9,765 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Britain. For the first time since October 2 last year, the number of infections per day has come down to 10,000.
