Beijing: China’s Mars mission ‘Tianwen-1’ will be inactive for about 50 days from mid-September due to interruption in communication with Earth. The related interruption in communication is caused by solar electromagnetic radiation. ‘Tianwen-1’ was sent to the Red Planet on 23 July 2020 with an orbiter, a lander, and a rover. The rover has been working for the last 100 days, while the orbiter has been orbiting Mars since February.

Zhang Rongqiao of the Chinese National Space Administration told reporters on Monday that the orbiter and rover would suspend work because of a communication interruption. He said the communication barrier would end in early November (Mars Mission of China). Zhang said, “During this time the Sun, Mars, and Earth will be in a straight line, and Earth and the Red Planet will be in the farthest position from each other.” The state-run China Daily quoted Zhang as saying that the Sun’s electromagnetic radiation rover, will severely affect communication between the orbiter and the control room on Earth.

Reached Mars orbit in February
The mission will remain inactive for about 50 days from mid-September due to communication disruptions. China’s Tianwen-1 Jurong rover went from Earth with the Tianwen-1 orbiter. It entered Mars orbit in February, and since then Jurong has been sending pictures and videos of the Red Planet to Earth. Which China continues to issue every day. China said in late June that both the orbiter and the rover were in good condition and working safely on Mars.

The vehicle landed on Mars on May 14
China landed its spacecraft on Mars for the first time on 14 May. Since then he is working there. As soon as this rover touched the surface of Mars, China also became the first country in the world to launch an orbiter, lander and rover simultaneously in the Mars mission. This 6-wheeled rover of China is roaming in the place of Mars, which is known as Utopia Planitia. It will search for water and ice on this planet with its radar. With which an attempt will be made to find out about the signs of life.
