Washington: Facebook has said that some of the fake accounts and network of pages created in China (China) have been scrapped by the company. These pages were focused on influencing political movements in America and other countries.

The US-focused pages had almost no followings. Their main center was Southeast Asia including the Philippines. In the United States, these accounts were posted in support and opposition of presidential candidates Pet Bettig, Joe Biden and President Donald Trump.

Facebook is not directly linking this network with the Chinese government. However, Facebook said that the people behind this network tried to hide their identity and location through private networks and other means.

The US intelligence agency FBI and the Cyber ​​Security Agency of the Department of Home Security issued a warning on Thursday regarding concerns related to election interference. It said that foreign parties and cyber criminals may try to share false information regarding the result of the election.
