Meanwhile, taking a big decision, the UK has imposed a flight ban on flights coming from Portugal, Panama, Cape Verde as well as all over South America. According to UK time, no flights coming from these areas will land on Friday from 4 am. Transport Minister Grant Shaps has given this information.

At the same time, a third lockdown has been imposed this month in Britain fighting the new strain found in its own country. According to experts, the new variant of the coronavirus found in Britain is 70 percent more contagious than the previous.

Significantly, on Wednesday, MPs in the country’s parliament appealed to Prime Minister Boris Johnson to take action on the new strain found in South America. After which PM Johnson announced the ban on air flights. Already, the UK’s aviation business has been severely affected by the ban on continued air flights in many countries. Passenger traffic at London’s Heathrow Airport fell by 73 percent.
