New Delhi: The Adani Group will invest USD 100 billion over the next decade. The investment will be mainly in the digital sector including new energy and data centers. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani gave this information on Tuesday. Adani, the world’s second richest person, said 70 percent of this investment would be in the energy transition sector. The conglomerate involved in the port-to-energy business will be adding 45 GW of hybrid renewable energy generation capacity in the coming days.

In addition, three factories will be set up to manufacture solar panels, wind turbines, and hydrogen electrolyzers. The founder and chairman of the Adani Group said at the Forbes Global CEOs Conference, “As a group, we will be investing more than $100 billion in capital over the next decade. We have earmarked 70 percent of this investment for the energy transition sector.” This conference was organized in Singapore. “In addition to our existing 20 GW renewable portfolio, the new business will be fueled by 45 GW of hybrid renewable power generation. The enterprise is spread over 100,000 hectares of land, which is 1.4 times the area of ​​Singapore.

This will lead to the commercialization of 30 million tonnes of green hydrogen. The group will also set up three gig factories – (1) integrating from raw silicon to solar panels, for a 10 GW silicon-based photovoltaic value chain. (2) a 10 GW integrated wind turbine manufacturing plant and (3) a five GW hydrogen electrolyzer factory. “Today we are the least expensive producer of Green Electron, and we will also be producing Green Hydrogen at the lowest cost,” he said.

Adani further said, “The Indian data center market is growing rapidly. This sector consumes more energy than any other industry in the world and therefore our move to build green data centers is a big change.” He said that India is full of incredible opportunities and the story of real India’s growth is just beginning. Commenting on China, Adani said that once a leader in globalization, this country is now facing challenges.
