Jakarta: The Indonesian Army said that a Navy submarine near the resort island of Bali has gone missing (53) carrying 53 people. Army Chief Hadi Jahjanto said that KRI Nangagala 402 was taking part in a training operation on Wednesday when she went missing.

He said that the submarine is believed to have disappeared in the water about 95 km away in the north of Bali. The army chief said that the Navy has engaged warships in the area for search and has sought help from Singapore and Australia, who have submarine support vehicles.
