New Delhi: Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has said that Indian Muslims are the most satisfied in the world and some kind of separatism is spread only by those whose personal interests are affected. Sangh chief Bhagwat said in an interview to a magazine, that many Muslims were fighting in the army of Maharana Pratap, the king of Mewar, against the Mughal ruler Akbar. It has been the tradition of India that when the culture of the country is attacked, people of all religions become united. When it comes to Indianness, people of all religions get together.
Bhagwat wondered whether there is any other example in the world, where the existence of a foreign religion ruling the people is presently left? He said that this is not the case anywhere. This is only in India. Pakistan, unlike India, has not given authority to other religions.
Bhagwat said that our constitution does not say that only Hindus can live here or if you have to live here, you have to accept the superiority of Hindus. This is the nature of our nation. This inherent nature is called Hindu. The Hindu has nothing to do with who worships whom.
The Sangh chief said that whenever the spirit of renunciation and its protection for India and its culture is awakened … the sense of pride towards the ancestors is strengthened, then the distance between all religions disappears. In such a situation, people of all religions stand up together. Bhagwat said that the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya is not just for traditional purposes. It is a symbol of national values and character.
The Sangh chief said that the truth is that the temples were demolished to break the morale of the people of this country and to suppress cultural values. This is the reason that for a long time Hindu society wanted to rebuild temples. Our lives were plagued by invaders. We were humiliated by the demolition of our ideal Lord Shri Ram’s temple. Today we again want to rebuild it and expand it, due to which a grand temple is being built.
