New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in a letter to Mahendra Singh Dhoni after his retirement from international cricket that the former cricket captain, a two-time World Cup winner, is a symbol of a new India in which fortunes are not written in the family’s name. Dhoni has shared this letter on his Twitter page. This is Dhoni’s first post on social media after he surprised everyone by posting the message, ‘I have retired at 7.29 pm,’ with the song ‘Main Pal Do Pal ka Shire Hoon’ on Instagram on Saturday.

Modi wrote in the letter, “You are one of the important examples of the spirit of New India in which the destiny of the youth is not written in the name of the family.” They make their own name and fortune. ” He wrote, “It doesn’t matter where we go as long as we know where to go. You have shown this passion and inspired many youth with it. ” Modi also wrote that Dhoni’s assessment as just a player would be unjust because his impact has been extraordinary. He wrote, “Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s name will not be remembered only for figures or roles in winning matches. His assessment as just one player will be excessive. ” Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Dhoni in the Territorial Army thanked the Prime Minister for his appreciation.

He said, “An artist, soldier or player only wants praise. He wants his hard work and sacrifice to be recognized and appreciated. Thank you Prime Minister Narendra Modi for your appreciation and best wishes. ” The Prime Minister also praised Dhoni’s calm attitude in the long letter. He said, “It doesn’t matter what your hairstyle is.” Your calm attitude remained equal in defeat and victory, which is very important for every youth. “

Dhoni has also been famous for different haircuts in his career. Initially, he had long hair, which was also praised by the then President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf. Adding him to the best captains and wicket-keepers in the world, Modi said, “You proved to be reliable under difficult circumstances and your style of leading the match to victory will remain in people’s memories for generations, especially the 2011 World Cup final.” He wrote, “After coming from an ordinary family in a small town, you glorified at the national level and made India proud by illuminating your name which is most important.” The Prime Minister said that Dhoni’s success and behavior gives strength and inspiration to crores of youth who are not educated in big schools or colleges like him or from big families but they have enough talent to create a distinct identity at the highest level. ” Modi also wished him good luck for the future.
