New Delhi: Facebook is going to shut down its gaming app. Both Android and iOS versions of this app will not be able to be downloaded from October 28 onwards. Facebook was getting bigger in the last few years. During this, the company continued to expand new services and apps. However, many believe that Meta is now trying to focus attention on Facebook’s rapidly deteriorating reputation. In this effort, the company is closing the apps regularly.

In this sequence, the company decided to shut down the gaming app. Let us tell you that this app was launched two years ago in the Corona period. With the help of this app, the game can be played without downloading the game app. This app is available for free download from the Google Play Store.

Discontinued this product too
Earlier, Meta had also shut down several Facebook apps including Facebook Podcasts and Facebook Live Shopping. Apart from this, the company has also stopped the work of its planned digital wallet app called Novi and the company has reportedly stopped working on its smartwatch.

Information is given to users
The company said in an update for users that since the launch of this app, we thank all of you for everything you have done to create a thriving community for gamers and fans. Of course, we’re going to shut it down, but even so, our mission to connect players, fans, and creators with their favorite games hasn’t changed. Whenever you go to Gaming in the Facebook app, you’ll be able to find your games, streamers, and groups.

The app was introduced in the Corona period
Let us know that Facebook launched the gaming app in April 2020. The purpose of launching the app was to capitalize on the Corona era because at that time people were imprisoned in their homes and were looking for new platforms to play the game. Facebook made many efforts to make this app stand. But could not succeed.

On the other hand, Meta is testing a new live streaming platform for influencers called “Super.” The new platform allows influencers to host live streams, earn revenue and engage with viewers. The company has reportedly paid influencers between $200 and $3,000 to use the platform for 30 minutes. Super entered development in late 2020 and is currently being built by Meta’s New Product Experimentation team. The platform, which looks to have similar functionality to Twitch, is currently being tested with fewer than 100 creators.
